iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it comes with all the latest features. It's self cleaning vacuum cleaner-charging, self-navigating, and the most crucial feature of all -- it comes with an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint smart vacuum cleaner Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot through the app or voice.

In our testing the i7+ performed more agile and faster than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces types, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room and sweep an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with vacuums with cords that look like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model feels like an old-fashioned sports car. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in most homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filtration system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets, and then pick up large dust or crumbs. It has three different suction modes that can be adapted to suit the task. It is able to quickly switch between handheld and floor vacuum and vice versa.

This model also has docks that charge to 100% in 3.5 hours, and gives users easy access to two attachments as well as a Wand clip. This is a huge improvement over previous Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.

The main issue with the V10 is its short running time. The tests conducted by CR show that its advertising claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is a typical not an extraordinary time to run the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's still enough time to clean most of a typical-sized home but not long enough to get every single area (though a second run-through usually will suffice). The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery longevity than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries and can be controlled by the voice assistant on your smartphone. It is also more robust, has a more powerful motor, and performs better on floors with bare or low-pile.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's not surprising, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has a cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app offers a wide range of customization options for your robotic cleaner. This includes mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior modifications docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to navigate and use as are other Samsung devices.

In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than some of the other models we've tested and could be a problem for some buyers.
